In light of the public health risks surrounding COVID-19, we have decided to cancel the IFCO 2020 conference, originally planned for June 25th-28th in Montreal, Canada. While this decision was not easy, we feel strongly that our action will enable us to better protect our collective health and well-being in the weeks and months ahead.
We extend our immense gratitude to all those who have supported and invested in the event along with us – conference committee members, speakers, partners, sponsors and registrants – we appreciate your commitment to improving the health and well-being of children, youth and families around the globe.
We are working to find alternate ways to share and collaborate around conference content. Stay tuned for further information!
Take good care,

I am a registered conference participant. Will I be getting a refund?
Yes. You will receive a full refund for the cost of your registration in the coming weeks. The funds will be returned to the payee via the original payment method used (expect a credit card refund online or a cheque refund in the mail).
Will the conference be rescheduled?
Unfortunately, we are not able to reschedule the conference. We are exploring other options to convene and share information online. Stay tuned for further information – check back here or follow us on Twitter @CWLC_LBEC and @IFCOinfo.
What about the youth program?
Our youth program was created by youth for youth, with a focus on lived experiences and youth empowerment. The loss of this program is weighing heavy on our hearts. That’s why we are committed to finding a way to make some version of the program available for youth in care networks in Canada in 2021. Stay tuned for further information – check back here or follow us on Twitter @CWLC_LBEC.
